PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: The Rackspace Private Cloud Solution Sales Professional (SSP) will be chartered with engaging potential OpenStack customers by partnering with Rackspace Sales reps, technology partners, and general dissemination of OpenStack/Rackspace Cloud Builders product information to increase OpenStack deployments.

JOB COMPLEXITY: Structure presentations, offerings, proposals, with comprehensive business case development and contract negotiations to win OpenStack deployments. Ability to proactively generate sales with existing or new opportunities or as well as, organize and deliver internal evangelism activities for peer sales professionals.

Must have a long and demonstrated history of successful quota retirement, and ability to effectively maintain and expand business relationships through email, phone, and face to face contact. Expected to meet and exceed monthly sales target.

Responsible for full sales cycle from demand generation through deployment. Must be able to generate and qualify customer leads. Must have experience selling and maintaining strategic accounts. Must be able to demonstrate control over the opportunity pipeline through forecast accuracy.

SUPERVISION: Must have individual drive as majority of team and management may be dispersed to different office locations or traveling to customer/prospect locations.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or marketing. Advanced degree required plus 2-3 years relevant experience following business school. Six or more years of total work experience. Business and customer relationship management background in a technical services industry preferred. Demonstrated success exceeding new business quota with high volume, transactional environments. Channel sales experience a plus.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Intermediate travel of 25% - 30% at steady state, with occasional spikes of 50% or more may be necessary.

- A minimum of 10-12 years of system administration, technical support and/or technical pre-sales experience required.
- BSCS/BSEE or equivalent work experience is required.
- Any relevant industry training and/or certifications including but not limited to virtualization (e.g. VMware, Citrix, Xen), operating systems (e.g. Microsoft, Linux), server and storage platforms (e.g. NetApp, EMC, Dell) and network devices (e.g. F5, Cisco, Brocade) is preferred.

- A demonstrable mastery of cloud computing (IaaS) concepts and the ability to articulate these concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

As a Software Developer in Test on the Identity project you will have the opportunity to work with both our internal identity solution as well as in the open source community as a part of Keystone in OpenStack. Responsibilities:

- Coding test automation software, primarily written in Python
- Working with Open Source tools, product code bases and the open source community
- Designing and implementing testing infrastructure as well as automated test cases and test strategies
- Following Scrum methodology, working directly alongside software developers, development operations and product owners

Job Requirements

Must Have:

- 4+ years of experience in Software Development, Software Testing & Test Engineering.
- 2-4 years of direct programming experience in one or more of Java, Python, Ruby, or C#
- Strong programming, debugging, and problem solving skills
- Ability to quickly learn new languages and development concepts if not already known.
- Ability to work independently, triage issues, and prioritize tasks
- Strong understanding of the Testing process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration concepts

Nice to have:

- CA LDAP experience
- Experience engineering and automating Enterprise scale Identity systems.
- Familiarity with advanced software/testing methodologies
- Experience with Agile Methodologies (Scrum, XP, Lean, Kanban, etc.)
- Familiarity with Performance Testing
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment concepts.

Job Description

Network Engineering is seeking a technical project manager who will lead, plan and execute network engineering programs relating to network development activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for prioritization, scheduling and execution of network changes and upgrades across Rackspace network. This will require you to manage with all organizational levels and groups including network operations, network engineering staff and internal project management teams, as well as external vendors.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage project schedules
- Identify risks and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders
- Define problem solving and risk mitigation strategies
- Facilitate conflict resolution through the full project cycle
- Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.
- Coordinates internal Rackspace department resource activites while managing projects

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following:

- A proven track record of project completion that is on time and within budget
- Comprehensive knowledge of executing project plans, managing changes to scope, and establishing project deliverables and WBS
- Proven ability to lead projects through the project management life cycle
- Ability to command the intellectual respect of network engineers as well as run extremely effective projects on compressed timelines
- A strong background in network engineering, network operations or technology deployment is preferred
- Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline, or Computer Science or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years of project management experience with at least 3 years running technical projects
- ITIL experience and Project Management Professional certification
