· Excellent knowledge of HR practices, legislation, pay, benefits and basic Health and Safety laws and regulations throughout the APAC region, particularly HK, PRC, ANZ & India;

The role of the Lead Infrastrcuture Engineer is to provide hands on technical support for large and complex problems as well as being a proactive and consultative resource to help customers plan for their future growth and the utilisation of new technologies.

Key duties include:

- Pro-actively seek opportunities to review solution architecture then put forward and implement proposals for improvement

- Respond to support requests and co-ordinate Rackspace/Customer support teams where appropriate

Job Requirements

- A good level of business awareness and commercial acumen
- Industry experience working within and supporting a Linux environment
- RedHat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification highly desireable

- A solid understanding of Networking principles

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following:

- Requires six plus years of information systems design/architecture experience with a minimum of 3-4 years working in the Rackspace environment or equivalent customer support work place.
- Basic Knowledge of HTTP required.
- General Knowledge of Puppet, Backups, Caching, CDN, Cluster management, Firmware, HTML, Linux Shell Scripting, OS/DISTR, OSPF/IOS, Role Servers, SMTP/Mail Relays, SQL query writing/troubleshooting, SSL Certificates, Sys Design, and Web servers.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux Kernel, Packet Management, Advanced scripting language, Auth/ Directory services, DBA, HA, Linux Kernel, Networking, Packet analysis, Security, Storage, System Optimization, Leadership, and Patching required.
- Advanced knowledge of FTP, and Web Scripting required.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Developer Support has two main functions: helping customers programmatically leverage our cloud services and contributing code, plugins, modules and extensions to projects and partners that are advancing the open revolution.

In this role you will:

- Support customer developers coding against our APIs through phone, chat, forums, and email.
- Contribute code to select open source projects.
- Educate customers about product usage, options and capabilities by responding with clear documentation, reference architectures, or code samples.
- Troubleshoot errors between the customer’s application and the Rackspace API.
- Write code to help an ecosystem develop and thrive around OpenStack and Rackspace.
- Engage actively blogs and forums with technical articles and answers.
- Add insights to existing Knowledge Base.

- Test and verify bugs submitted on behalf of customers.

Job Requirements

Must Have:

- Experience with API documentation, wikis, forums and content management systems.
- 4-5 years overall professional software development experience
- 2+ years of scripting language development experience (Python, .Net, Ruby, Perl, PHP, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience working in a Linux/Unix or Microsoft development environment
- Familiarity with object oriented development principles
- Automation expierence with Chef and/or Puppet
- Ability (and enthusiasm) to mentor less experienced developers
- High school diploma or equivalent
